About me

Georgine is a Professor of Communication Studies at Cosumnes River College. For more than 10 years, she was also a member of UVote, a national election research team focused on developing political programs and messages to enhance the interest and participation of young voters.

Her published scholarship includes auto/ethnographic book chapters, journal articles, and essays exploring politics, gender, and spirituality. Her most recent article, "Searching for Divine: Autoethnographic Reflections on Ashram Life," is featured in the journal Departures in Critical Qualitative Research. Georgine resides in both Puerto Rico and California with her husband, Mark.

Classes & Workshops

Georgine teaches college-level courses in interpersonal communication, public speaking, persuasion, and political campaign communication. She has worked with a variety of organizations in the Sacramento Area including city and county planners, engineers, and various individuals in Sacramento to provide effective public speaking and group facilitation skills. Georgine has written speeches, designed project proposals, planned training sessions, and coached clients on public speaking skills and the presentation of project proposals.
